The SOCO Spotlight

It's running. The first feature lands with Media Cavern's grand opening on October 17.

A monthly series on one South County business owner. Not an ad, not the story of the business — their story. Why they opened here, what it took to stay open, and what this place looks like from behind their counter.

SOCO SPOTLIGHT COMMUNITY CHAMPION

Reagan Dortch

A high school senior from Highland, Illinois, Reagan leads The SOCO Spotlight as its first Community Champion. She came to South County helping her mother, Amber, on NexCore's leadership team, and stayed because the place got hold of her. A three-year member and two-year editor of her school's yearbook, she works across photography, writing, editing, design and production.

Marketing takes five different categories and puts them into one — photography, journalism, writing, all of it. That's what I love about it.

REAGAN DORTCH
